Why your help is so important!

The U.S. government alone is spending hundreds of millions of dollars every year on developing “mechanical” approaches to removing CO₂. These include such things as removing it from power plant stack gas emissions or building “air capture” machines to pull it directly out of the air. Lucrative research, development and demonstrations contracts and potential future markets are driving well funded lobby efforts to keep this money flowing.

Green plants have been doing the same thing—better–for millions of years. For free. And in the process, they generate the many vital and valuable environmental and economic benefits outlined on this site.

The mechanical approaches don’t do that. But there are no well-funded groups pushing the win/win approach even though it is clearly better. In fact, most policy makers and the public have never even heard of it.

Our mission is to make carbon sequestration in natural systems the primary policy response to dealing with excess atmospheric CO₂.
